1. About RecordReset

RecordReset is operated by Apache-3 Inc., a Delawarecorporation. RecordReset provides eligibility screening, educational content, and document-preparation services for criminal-record relief in supported US states.

2. We are not a law firm

RecordReset is not a law firm and we do not provide legal advice. Use of this site does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and RecordReset, Apache-3 Inc., or any of its affiliates. The Concierge tier connects you with a licensed attorney; the attorney-client relationship in that case is between you and the attorney.

3. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

RecordReset is not a Consumer Reporting Agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act (15 U.S.C. § 1681). We do not sell consumer reports, employment screenings, or background checks to employers, landlords, or insurers.

4. Eligibility screening

Our eligibility screening is informational. The result depends on the answers you provide. Eligibility under state law also depends on facts that the screening may not capture, on judicial discretion, and on changes to the law. We are not responsible for outcomes that differ from a screening verdict.

5. Account and content

You agree to provide accurate information about yourself and your case. You may not use the service to provide false information, impersonate another person, or attempt to bypass our compliance controls. You retain ownership of the information you upload.

6. Payments

Paid tiers are billed in advance through Stripe. Court filing fees are paid separately by you to the court. We do not refund the platform fee for petitions you choose not to file.

7. Termination and deletion

You may delete your account and your data at any time from your dashboard. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms or applicable law.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, APACHE-3 INC. AND RECORDRESET ARE NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM USE OF THE SERVICE.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
