RecordReset

Find a licensed attorney

RecordReset is a self-help service. We don't represent users in court. If you want an attorney to review your case, advise you on strategy, or appear at a hearing, here are the official referral routes for the states we cover.

Quick note on cost. Most state bar Lawyer Referral Services charge a small referral fee ($20–$35) and connect you to a vetted attorney for a free or reduced-fee 30-minute consultation. If your case fits within a typical clean-slate / expungement, you can often hear what you need to know in that first call. Many attorneys in this category offer flat-fee representation (vs. hourly).

Can I keep using RecordReset and also work with an attorney?

Yes. The petition workbook output is a draft document — you can hand it to your attorney for review and revision. Many people find a 1-hour consultation ($150–$300 typical) is all they need to confirm the petition is correct before filing. Attorneys generally appreciate when clients arrive prepared.

We do not refer to specific attorneys directly. Listings above point to neutral state-bar programs. If we ever partner with attorneys for formal review, we'll disclose the partnership clearly.
