- You pay $999 once. That covers eligibility analysis, petition drafting, attorney review, and a filing checklist.
- For 30 days after you pay, you can request a 50% refund ($500) from your dashboard. No reason needed. We process it within 5 business days.
- The other 50% covers work we've already started for you (the eligibility analysis, the attorney's time, document preparation).
- Court filing fees are not refundable by RecordReset — those go to the court directly, not us.
The full terms
1. Eligibility
The guarantee applies to any customer who paid the one-time RecordReset service fee ($999 as of the date of this page). The guarantee window begins on the date Stripe confirms your payment and runs for 30consecutive days.
2. Refund amount
Within the 30-day window, you may request a refund of 50% of the RecordReset service fee. We will process the refund to the original payment method within five (5) U.S. business days of your request. The refund does not include any court filing fees, which are paid directly to the court and are not collected by RecordReset.
3. How to request
Open your dashboard, scroll to the “Order” section, and click “Request 50% refund.” You may also email support@apache3.dev from the address associated with your account.
4. After the window closes
After the 30-day window expires, the 50% guarantee is no longer available. We will still consider individual refund requests on a case-by-case basis (for example, if our service was materially defective), but those decisions are at our sole discretion.
5. What we do NOT guarantee
Because criminal-record relief is determined by a court, RecordReset cannot and does not guarantee that your petition will be granted. Eligibility depends on facts (statute of limitations, prior convictions, victim age, registry status) that are outside our control. Our service guarantee is limited to the 50% refund described above; we do not refund based on outcome of the petition itself.
6. Not legal advice
RecordReset is operated by Apache-3 Inc. We are not a law firm and do not provide legal advice. The reviewing attorney is independently licensed in the state of your case; their review is for petition completeness and substantive eligibility only and does not create an attorney-client relationship for purposes of court representation.
7. Changes
We may revise these terms going forward. Any change applies only to customers who paid after the change took effect; existing customers are governed by the version in effect on their payment date.
